Not being disrespectful to those who serve or have served, but what was the point of this turd of a movie?

No point, no plot, full of weak cliches, and a waste of Brad Pitt.

Anyone else think this movie sucked, or did I just miss the whole point of it?

Yep cliche as fuck war movie made for the masses = not a good film

I have heard it is a American turd of a movie. I think I won't see it anytime soon. Not even download it.

I enjoyed it. A bit slow at times, but overall good movie.

I enjoyed all of the factually backed scenes included in the movie. For instance, Pitts character forcing the younger soldier to get his first kill(execution style) on a Nazi POW(Pre-Geneva Code, and accepted back then). But it really did seem like this movie was just a small part to a bigger story being told...as to what it is, we're all unsure.

According to this movie, not one guy in the German Army could shoot a gun straight.

it kept me until the end but just to lead to a finale which could have been totally avoided was a bit weird. Choice of living by running to the trees or taking on a whole regiment, hmmm

im wondering if there is this idea in it the sherman could really handle the tiger tank head to head.in that last movie we had black fighter pilots taking me262s in dogfights.not impossible just rare.

Yes.....the one american (Sherman?) tank wipes out 2,248 German (Tiger?) tanks single-handedly with 800 yard direct hits while driving in reverse.

An entire German battalion cannot hit the American tank while it sits in the middle of a field unprotected.
