Wait, didn't Orm Stolofsen carry the log from where it was, to his ship? Isn't that what the legend was really about. A two second lift doesn't get passed down through generations as a legend.

Since nobody else can do it, sure it's legendary status!

It is likely that Angus MacAskill could have lifted that log with ease.  A powerful, natural giant of a man and quite possibly the strongest man to have walked the Earth.

Still, an impressive display of power by Hafthor.  The punk yelling afterwards does not befit a man of his power and heritage but I suppose it's to be expected in this day and age of selfies and the like.

Who cares. That's not functional strength.

This doesn't mean he can hop over a car if a car is speeding at him at 50mph. Nor does it mean he can drag someone out of a burning building or change a flat tire.

Its all about the function of the muscle and what it can perform in real-life situations. Not contrived feats of strength.

Well, Orm did it originally, and way better. This guy didn't break the record, and the way the "stunt" was set up, no one ever tried it before that way. I think a lot of strong men could do it. Total farce for publicity.

what a load of cock and ball, for his size he has alot of functional strength, he has to for strongman these days. And is not picking up a car to help release a trapped victim functional strength? Could your little whippet hero do that?

He didn't even un-rack it, let alone do a squat. Pathetic!

I will start with shoulder pressing it, then curling it, before finally completing a one legged squat.  ;D

Where's the lift? He's rather rolling the log for a few inches on the wooden rack.... ::)

doesnt it kinda remind us of using a ton of weight in the legpress and then just move it an inch?
