Super liberal who holds fund raisers in his house for politicians. Some member of his family worked in a recording studio so it was his band bearing a shortened version of his real name. He had the recording studio connection. Richie Sambora was a legend in the bar band scene in NJ. He got him in the band then they had all their hit songs. Actually back in the day Richie had a better voice than Jon. Jon Bon Jovi comes across as a guy that is full of himself. Jon Bon Jovi would be nothing without Sambora back in the day. He now tours without him because of what I think is a money dispute. The band comes around about every year selling out Giant's stadium in NJ but I think every year he sells out less dates.

I believe his dad was president of the record company that signed him. But I do give him credit for being a talented guy and for being smart enough to make more money and not to blow his money and end up in bad shape financially like too many celebs do.

What I dislike about him is that his a typical leftist celebrity hypocrite. He apparently wants everyone to pay more and more taxes but himself - just like Redford, Springsteen, and others. He should either practice what he preaches or preach what he actually practices.
