Hi There - I just ran across on your site that says "Whatever Happened to...?"
It show Franco Santoriello in the number 9 or 10 spot and the update says that he has a heroin addiction and is trying to make a comeback...
to give you a true update, Franco does not have a heroin addiction and is not trying to make a comeback. He is clean - no steroids, nothing - he is married (to me 8 years next month) and we have a 7 year old - Frankie - he looks exactly like Franco! His body, his build, his face, his nose, his hair, his toes and his toenails! No exageration - he is Franco's "mini-me"!
You can go to myspace.com/storybookj and see Frankie - he seriously looks just like his Daddy and he is his Daddy's best buddy! The two are very close!

Off the top of my head, I don't know if I have any pictures of Franco on there - Right now he out of shape - he has serious back problems and needs surgery - he has serious pain and is working with a physical therapist that we know to help his training so he just recently started training again - I don't think his plans are to compete again, though he hated the way he retired from bodybuilding so you never know!

We are working on a couple of things - one is a book, the other is a health & fitness product (nothing like Cybergenics...which, incidentally was a pretty good product - people never got past taking the product and didn't do the workout which was what made Cybergenics work!!! One could have all the best steroids - top of the line with a great cycle, but if you don't eat right and do the training, it's not really going to do much for ya, you know?)

Franco is working hard, he does a lot of in-home client personal training, we are writing the book- and we are developing a health & fitness product. Franco is born again - he puts God first and everything else just kinda falls into place!
He is a great husband (drives me absolutely crazy sometimes, but...still a great guy). he is a really good father! He also has a daughter that his ex-wife has custody of - soon she will be 18 and she will be able to do what she wants - his ex has caused him a lot of pain by keeping his daughter away, but that too is falling back in place and they are building a relationship again!
She has that Santoriello genetics so I think we are going to see her on the stage soon! She took some amateur pics - she looks great and she was only 16! She wasn't ready to compete at the time, but if she keeps it up, she will be!

Right now we living right outside Philly, but we are getting ready to move back to the Jersey Shore! We can't wait!

So...that is what happened to Franco!
I apologize for long email - I get really upset when people make assumptions about my husband and put an image of Franco strung out on heroin in people's mind! He's a great guy, he has had a lot of pain in his life, but also a lot of joy - he is very kind and loving - he is not afraid to show his emotions, not afraid to love or enjoy life!
My name is Jana (rhymes with banana) - people either forget my name or don't remember how it's pronounced, so I am more commonly known as Franco's Wife!
I am proud to be his wife - faults and all, he's one of a kind and we haven't seen the best of him yet! Feel free to write me back if you have any questions, or write Franco - he considers it an honor that his name is still tossed around in the bodybuilding world and that he is not forgotten!

I saw this deeply tanned, muscular dude at Bondi Beach many years ago and thought he looked amazing. Not that huge but you could see all his abs and cuts when he walked. I thought he must be Franco. Looked like him. I would have to say he was the

most impressive muscleman I have ever seen on a beach.
