Yeah, fall is my favorite season. It only lasts about 6 weeks, but it is the best. I lived in FL for 3 years and I really missed actual seasons.

Yes, those of us who aren't so weak that they can't handle a few drinks without jeopardizing our entire well being are out doing things. Occasionally can lead to injury.

I am pretty lucky. If you look a couple of posts up, you can see that my roof is angled acutely enough that less than a foot has accumulated on the main part. There is some concerning drifting on family room roof adjacent the near chimney.

Also, note the complete lack of icicles. We have GREAT second floor insulation and the attic is air flow-through so it's outside temp. That means that the snow in contact with the shingles isn't melting. VERY happy.
