aj has it figured out.

So far, the heating cables I put on my roof are doing the trick.  Had over 25k in damage over 4 years

Live 30 miles north of Boston....Mother of all winters here this year
18 days ago we had 5 inches on the ground...now we have around 67 inches
We had a couple storms...then a blizzard...then another 2 feet the last few days
Spent about 3 hours cleaning snow off my roof after I did my Moms roof.

85 today in Phoenix area. A record high 65 at our cabin in the White Mountains over near the NM border. We are way way ahead of rainfall for the entire state. Way behind in mountain snow. I wish we had more snow on the hill.

Me and my helper getting ready to tackle the deck...She's 3.5 feet tall and you can see its up to her ears.
Thats my grill buried out there in the background...Is it St. Patricks Day yet? Usually can see the light at the end of the tunnel by then  :-\  More snow forecast for friday and sunday.

More snow forecast for friday and sunday.

I've been watching that, especially the Sunday festivities. It's a Nor'easter that if it tracks about 100 miles west will be a multi-foot blizzard on Boston. The weather models have been shifting back and forth, trying to get a good track. Our luck hasn't been great this year so far.

Yeah, looking at another 18" tomorrow night and there's something shaping up on Wednesday too. Gonna be worse the further east, so I might be OK.

I grew up in Portsmouth NH and 1st went to college in the heart of the NH White Mts at PSC.
My 81 yr old mom still lives there and always bitches about the snow this time of year.

Hey Mom, do what your son did and move the fuk out of that GOD forbidden Siberia !

Howard, Portsmouth is a great town. We go all the time (Flat Bread Pizza Co.) out of this world, Portsmouth Brewery, etc.
Also all the other bars, places to eat, shop. (Its only a 30 minute ride for us).
