Current season has been very good, IMO, but it's all subjective. Season One was still the best as it had the original director and happened before budget cuts. Seems to have gotten back on track now, as the zombies are a bigger threat again and Carl is hardly annoying.

I watch it because i've watched every season but the writing is pretty bad...The fact that there walking around in the woods with hardly any food or vehicles is just silly. Hell now that the Gov is gone, they could go back to the prison and take a few days to clear out all the zombies and have a good base again. Also getting so sick of them going into a home and not clearing the house completely before they let their guard down only to have a zombie come out of a closet or whatever. This far along they should be moving like a swat team in and out of all areas at all times...

This, how hard would it be to find a fucking map, circle a few prisons then take a day trip to check them out.Even better, take the same map , circle some harbours and find a smallish island to live on surrounded by fresh water.

Winter aspect has always been of interest. In WWZ they froze.

Might be one of the reasons they kept it down south.

The new Walking Dead season....

episode 1 was one of the best of the series... flashbacks, the emotions of what the character went thru during the final minutes. you were literally holding breath "will this character make it?"

Episode 2 dragged, was full of cliches, whiny drivel, feigned outrage, the barn was totally made for the preview commercial, and while the ending was cool, 90% of it was weak. I was checking NBA allstar final minutes during replay, it was that weak.

In the book World War Z (absolutely amazing book, BTW) the northern climes has zombies frozen half in lakes during the winter. I made "lobotomizing" them a lot easier.
