I take a thc hit right before the gym with whatever preworkout, usually coffee and creatine, and good to go. Wonder if crushing a little xanax into my coffee would be fun every now and then. I train for the endorphines and pump anyway

Yep.

No athlete on earth should ever consider taking ibuprofen. For a multitude of reasons. Unless you could care less about recovery...

Pain killers are used a lot in running and cycling

I dont see why anyone would use it for bodybuilding purposes though...to deal with sides?

Most pain killers are very harsh on the kidneys, combining them with anabolics is not the smartest thing to do

Rest or train around it, longterm use of ibuprofen...you do not want that

I've heard that mentioned before, I wonder if there's truth to that.

I always use Advil before running because I sometimes get extreme inflammation in my left ankle.  I know it's from running with too much weight because when I cut down the pain goes down considerably.  I would say it's not necessary for weight lifting though.  You want the muscle inflamed right?  Tear the shit out of them.

Don't do that.  They inhibit muscle growth.  The inflammation is necessary.

I was talking about cardio.  The inflammation inhibits my cardio.  For example with no inflammation I can easily run a 5K in 26 mins and with inflammation it will be a brutal 33 mins.

It's absolutely legitimate.

Here's 1 to start with:
British Journal of Sports Medicine. 43: 548-549, 2009.

Also, just google it for a million articles discussing the mechanism of action and resultant effects.
