If Walker is willing to forego ALL of these issues, and focus solely upon the economy..

if he's willing to let the state deal with all the SOCIAL issues - and he will focus on economy defense, trade...
Then I will support him 100000% Percent.

My fear is that he wants to pick and choose which issues to get involved in.  I hope that's not the case - I'll admire the shit out of any president that lets the state handle these issues, and just focuses on the economic stuff.  But I fear, in a primary, every candidate will degrade into saying which pledge he/she will sign about marriage, etc... and the usual crap will happen.  Candidates will pick/choose which social issues to comment up - based upon numbers/votes.

Would LOVE to see a candidate run for prez without degrading into the smaller issues, I mean fixing the economy/trade/defense SHOULD be his/her focus... but I doubt it.

I don't care if the next president is married to a goat, has sex with his dog, and worships a unicorn.

I'd like to keep half the money I make, not be penalized for my success, and not be made to feel like a leper and oppressor because I'm a well-to-do white guy.

Hopefully he won't be friends with Sharpton and other radicals, and won't use the IRS to target those who dare oppose him.

I hope the next president lets the police and military do their lawful jobs, and doesn't turn everything he can into a race riot or PC muslim suckfest at every opportunity.

I hope to be able to have a reasonable degree of confidence that my tax dollars are going more towards keeping me safe from fraud and foreign and domestic terrorists and violent criminals than towards excessive government bloat, crony capitalism, socialist programs and takeovers of private industries, and overall redistribution of wealth.

I'm all for science and scientific advancement. But not paying 90% personal and corporate income tax instead of 50 and 40% in the name of "science", and not allowing big govt to destroy our economy with unnecessary regulations while China and India continue to pollute and profit at our expense.

Eh, the minute I like a candidate...

http://host.madison.com/ct/news/opinion/editorial/scott-walker-s-laid-off-teacher-story-turns-out-to/article_54823f49-58de-5e30-9526-6722b3be5f96.html

Walker lied about a teacher of the year being unemployed... according to, well, that teacher of the year.  Turns out to be a political stunt and she was a classmate of his in college.  When people noticed, she admitted the whole thing was a lie.

He has good positions and seems to be a smart man, I like what he says on the economy.  But he doesn't need to pull stunts like this.

Hopefully something will be done to curb spending and pay down the debt eventually. Once interest rates go up, this number will get really big really fast.

Hopefully the idea that retirement savings appreciation through smart investing needs to be capped and further taxed will be a thing of the past. Ditto for the kids' college savings plans.
