Rick Perry’s unannounced presidential campaign is being thrown into higher gear with the hiring of key Iowa staff and the release of a new web ad – the first of the 2016 race – in New Hampshire.

Perry, who has been in Iowa more than any other candidate and is in Sioux City again on Monday, announced four experienced political operatives who will head his team.

The team will be headed by GOP strategist Robert Haus, who has been informally guiding him through the state over the past six months. He led Perry’s 2012 Iowa campaign.

Also returning from his 2012 Iowa team are Dane Nealson and Kip Murphy. Andy Swanson rounds out the team. Swanson in 2012 had been the top Hawkeye State organizer for Tim Pawlenty and for John McCain in 2008.
