I saw him a few times and he was unreal. I don’t think many realize how incredible JPF looked in person.i don’t know about Sandow - because I’m not sure when he would have had a chance but he was definitely top tier.May be wrong.i don’t think he could’ve beat Ronnie but no one could. When I saw Ronnie guest pose in early 1997 I told a buddy of mine he was my pic for the O. I couldn’t go to the show, but he called me the next day and said he shouldn’t have laughed at me about big Rob. So I’m not totally blind. lol. I mean I it’s not like I think Brian Hankies looks ANYTHING like a bodybuilder!!! 😆
Cool. That's my impression of JPF: unreal. I remember when he first came on the scene, he looked a lot like the other bodybuilders of the time: big but more emphasis on proportion and condition. Then a few years later he's absolutely massive. I thought he looked great, those massive abdominal, his back and chest were huge and quads prior to the tears. But he just never placed well. I assumed it was structural problems.
