Never understood why he placed so low in 1983. He was in his best shape ever. Only one to get a standing ovation from the audience. Personally, I prefer his type of physique over Samir's. Those full rounded muscles. But I can see why most preferred Samir and he deservedly won. But Bertil should have been a close second.
I don't think he could ever beat Lee Haney.
He was as narrow as Phil Cheath
He lacked quad sweep
Weak lat width
Ofcourse he had amazing chest, sick arms as a whole, beautiful calves, crazy traps and good midsection.
So he was a worthy champion but no Mr. O material.
Not to forget that he couldn't pose to save his life.
