They brought this to the attention of the show's producers at the prison.  Suddenly, halfway thru the season, the laws started looking overgrown.

in an actual zombie apocalpse, two years in... every dude on the show would have a huge beard.  some of the girls too.  instead they're wearing hair gel and sporting baby faces.

If you go back and watch the first couple episodes during Season 1, the zombies were faster and could actually "think " a little bit as well.  Like when they were using rocks to bust the glass in the department store where Rick, Andrea, TDog, etc.. were holed up.
