I remember I was so happy when my dad took me to see this movie as a kid!!!

Yep, I've seen people doing it in the surf.  Swim, boy!  Basically training their dog to be freaked about water.

When we lived by the shore I carried my dog out and comforted him, supported him in the water, paddled next to him, picked him back up if there was a troublesome wave coming.  We were a pathetic sight out there.
