I'm amazed at all the experts we have on here that have never dieted but yet no what 10 days out looks like for ever person.  Evans flat white as shit and holding water. I don't think you guys have any idea what your looking at. Let him carb up and drop water he will look completely different. I don't know why people think you are supposed to look stage ready two weeks out

What makes you an expert?  Just because you've done a show or two doesn't mean you know either.  A shit ton of guys compete that shouldn't even be on a stage.  He is not on point for 10 days out.  Yes you should look damn near stage ready at 10 days out, if not you didn't diet hard enough.  Most people don't diet hard enough because they're scared to death to see their body weight and how little muscle they actually have left when stage ready.  Then try and make up for it by pounding diuretics, when what they think is water is actually fat.  Diuretics are not needed at all if you've dieted properly and manipulated your water and sodium correctly.  You will look worse if you use them.

From hearing evan talk it dosn't sound like he is willing to sacrifice his health as much as some of the other guys wich might work against him. It's a smart move on evans part that he wants to have a full life after bodybuilding but some of these guys will push it to the limit and do whatever it takes. I don't think Evan has that mentality anymore. Evan sounds like he's going to play it as safe as he can wich might hurt his placings but like many say placings mean shit! Life is about overall success.

I think of it kind of like a boxing match you can win a Title fight but be damaged goods for the rest of your life in the end just not worth it.

I like evan. But reality is hes a second tier bb. Period. Hes never dialed it in. Probably never will.... its just the truth. This is 3 weeks out at best. On a regional level.
His fellow prime nutrition athlete aron clark, now thats dialed in. If you think evan is in shape 10 days out you havent competed or been around top tier bb. People get lazy  depend on diuretics, etc....

And many/most bodybuilders throw their health away; and they never place top 3 at the Olympia

So it's not like they are even winning the title fight

Top 3 for sure if he stays full and doesn't flatten out. Evan has very wide shoulders  tends to make his chest look shallow.

bro I'm sorry but that does not look like 10 days out. You compete do you have any old pictures when you were 10 days out? I guess by todays standards that might be 10 days out.
I just remember guys being in contest shape 2 weeks out at that point they just watched their caloric intake it's better to be a little ahead then have to put in alot of work and rely on peaking perfectly.

Gaspari always was contest ready 1-2 weeks out and he never used diuretics. From the video clip I can't see his ankles because he has his socks up but it looks like he's still holding water in his legs and calves among other places.

LOL, WTF are you talking about?! ::)
Winning a NY pro and placing 3rd at the Arnold, and you still call him a 'second tier'? He's def in shape being 10 weeks out, dude got veins everywhere!
Aron is only dialed in when you exclude his huge gut..

How in the hell do you know Gaspari never used diuretics? Come on now. :D

Centopani isn't known to be one those extremely conditioned atheletes. Well he IS extremely lean
but we're talking about those last couple of percentages when compared to a few of the others.
It may be somewhat due to genetics because some just don't manage to get as sliced - look at Kucklo who was mentioned before. Kucklo and Centopani have used the same gurus many others so you have to think it has a lot to do with genetics. For someone like Kucklo to get really sliced he might have to drop 40lbs of mostly muscle so it's not worth it. I don't think it's just laziness.

well because gaspari admitted to his steroid usage and was honest about what he used. Ive talked to the guy and he seems pretty honest and he talked about the steroid use but he said he never liked diuretics. sure he tried them but he liked staying lean after the shows and he said he would have to big of a rebound effect on diuretics so many years rich didn't use diuretics.

A lot of the extreme leans is genetics like u said but today's excessive combo of insulin and GH certainly doesn't help either

Never said I'm a expert, do I have more worldly experience being around guys that compete abd doing it myself then someone whos extent of bodybuilding is watching videos? Absolutely. Your right about people being sacred of really dieting, but some people natural hold water more then others. So some need a little extra help while other need no diuretics
