Yeah, a week of ratings as everyone waits to see how he'll react doesn't bring back his journalistic integrity.

Yes, and in the last hour, another report about how OReilly lied about the JFK assassination suicide.

In his book, he claimed to be on the porch and hearing the suicide gunshot. Well, there's a mountain of proof he wasn't even in the state when it happened. Yikes. That was 2012 he made that statement. Big surprise.

Republicans are HURTING bill oreilly by downgrading his definition from serious voice of reason, to pundit-who-is-cool-to-lie-about-credentials.

They've moved straight out of Williams' league. I don't get it. "It's okay that he lied because he's just a pundit, not a true newsman like Williams where credibility is a requirement".

Now, hearing OReilly lied about hearing a suicide with global ramifications... wasn't even in the state when it happened? unreal. ANd it's excused because "he's just a pundit!"

Perhaps you are right ... however there is swore statements from reports who were there, standing next to Bill as the action went down. I wasn't there, neither were you. However, creditable eyewitness testimony backs Bill's story. Either way, Fox is the dominant cable news provider and this hasn't hurt Bill's ratings. Maybe, Bill kinda got what he wanted after all. Brian Williams, who did lie about floating bodies in New Orleans is cooked.

FOX isn't news - they are fine with OReilly making up facts on the fly.

They're artful illustrators of political ideology. They don't tell truth, but they do use a nice mix of fact and fiction to create a narrative that many people really do enjoy.

AMC does it with many shows also. AMC knows zombies aren't real on the Walking Dead, and FOX readily admits their #1 host Bill OReilly made up many of the claims he made... it's good tv, shit.
