If you like them get them. When I was younger it seemed only bikers and some military men had them. Then the popularity exploded. Now I go to the beach and grandma, dad, mom, and the kids have them. Just not cool anymore. I even saw a girl that had a tramp stamp that said, "In memory of Dad" and the date of his death. Another thing that isn't cool anymore is guys wearing the one earring. Just played out.
