I gotta say after looking at his resume of 72 contests, 65 top 5 finishes 5 Arnold's and an Olympia certainly puts him as one of the greatest of all time. Especially since he competed in the the best era, the 90s/early 2000's. His consistency in conditioning should be considered the best the sport has ever seen. I don't recall any time he's been off. He's been bigger, smaller and sharper but never off. Consider he's done this over a span of 15 years in a sport that ruins people physically in half the time is pretty amazing. Is he Flex Wheeler? No, who is?  He's Dexter Jackson.  He did what Flex couldn't do.  Come in condition consistently. Dexter was able to do this. He is the King of this. And he was rewarded with what eluded Flex. An Olympia.  And now Dexter broke his record at the Arnold at age 45. I will admit Flex at his best is better than Dex at his best but how often have we seen Flex's best? Consistency and the ability to get in better condition counts.

This is exactly what I'm talking about , many consider Shawn Ray as one of the greatest ever and his accomplishments PALE in comparison to Dexters . Shawn was good at self-promotion Dex if anything is underrated

Dexter by virtue of the Olympia title alone makes him one of the greatest of all-time

I think those other guys won or close to 30 ,,v taylor had all those master titles too,,i knew he was a bantam but he turned pro as light heavy so 220/230 now that's pretty good without gaining uneeded weight /mass and getting ugly build..

Dexter, I think will wind up like Zane and Haney when he retires. He'll be a bit lost in the shuffle, but when pointed out, you'll go "Damn" and wish you paid more attention and props to him when he was in the game. The thing that hurts him is that he really isn't that flashy, and he isn't a mass monster compared to some.

probably THE most underrated bodybuilder of all time.
ask any fan to name the best physiques ever and it goes - Ronnie, Dorian, Jay, Flex, Levrone, Haney, Arnie, Sergio.
after that its the likes of Shawn Ray, Dillet, Serge Nubret.
nobody ever says Dexter, it should be a fucking crime to leave his name out!
easily one of the best physiques ever.
also the guy who defied father time! 45 fucking years old and winning the Arnold classic comfortably. insane.

I was just thinking, if he were 3 or 4 inches taller He'd be a multiple Mr. O.

Dexter is very underrated in this era.
Perhaps due to his 'lack of freakyness'.!!

He is the modern day Frank Zane type physique.
His record of shows & consistent conditioning is remarkable.

It was good he one the Arnold.
That said Cedric was poorly placed.

A small, slightly above average guy that scored well due only to the abysmal level of competitors he had to face all these years. Had he competed in the 1990's, he would have been a 2nd, or 3rd tier guy, barely cracking the top 10.

You are probably correct in most of what you said.
Definitely would of been a different ball game for him in the 90's.

Though it's not his fault the standard is so poor recently.
He does turn up in shape & bring his best.
It up to the others to bring their best.
Quite frequently they don't, so we're left with Dexter as the winner.

This x1000.
He reminds me more like Vince Taylor...consistent, quiet. Under-rated.
And of course, still in shape when others his age have falling apart.

I think he also shows that playing the size game doesn't work in the end. Those who have done that either have really torn muscles, dead, or in bad shape health wise.
