shredded vs brain function

In pursuit of your ideal body, how do you balance shreddedness vs having a working brain?

Full fat, full brainpower -- the path of the falcon?

Or no one / gal method: ultra-shredded but an over-emotional meltdown machine?

Honestly I think gh15 might have enlightened me most on this matter.  Unlike most people, he talked about how the other aspects of your life (job, relationships, stress, etc.) determine what kind of body you're able to have.  By contrast, most bodybuildimg gurus act as if you can look however you want with a little 'willpower'.  But this certainly isn't the case...

Hi fats have really made me feel pretty good all around. Hi carbs dont do it for me apparently

Not saying that's not possible, what I'm saying is when you get very low bf levels, no diet will save anyone from the huge strength loses that come with it, yet keto advovates (before they start their diets) imply there is no strength loss.

Then the process starts and reality kicks in as predicted...

So, you are saying you have to be fat to be strong?

Fact is there is a difference in how you train, and eat, depending on what your goals are. Training for strength, means you don't necessarily care about your body fat percentage. If you're training for Bodybuilding, then body fat percentage is a big deal.

The brain is made up of a lot of cholesterol and fats in general. Low fat diets affect brain function negatively. High carb diets increase emotionalism and irrational behavior.

I never give it any thought since I just track my calories.  I don`t give a rats ass what my macros are, but they end up being pretty much the same with just a little variation depending on what I want to eat.  I don`t notice any difference in any areas, physically or mentally.

It is not what you experience, but what others observe you doing. People don't notice when they themselves are being irrational, emotional or otherwise acting stupid. If they did, then they would be able to prevent themselves from doing those things. Being an accurate self observer, is difficult at best, and impossible without proper brain nutrition. Without proper brain nutrition, you will claim your aberrant behavior is natural, beyond your control, and blame others or society for your intellectual failures and incompetence.

No, not at all, I need carbs get real pissy when I don't have them. I need high everything, carbs and fats to grow. ECto genes don't lie. When I did keto people, everyone thought I was sick, stopped training, never looked worse.

It works for some, not for everyone. That is what irks the fuck outta me with keto people. They're like Mentzer to the fact it's their method and only their method. These people are the worst/closed mined to coach anyone as there is only one solution to a problem.

But of course low fat you suffer, any diet that eliminates any food group is to pretty much be avoided in most cases. Why this is so hard for some to comprehend?

Same with drug addicts. Carb addiction is a terrible thing.
