Working 14 hours today and every Saturday for the past 9 months..embarkation day..2500 new passengers coming on board. .complete chaos. ..tons of hungry people attacking the buffet then every bar on the ship.

Ha! Didnt expect to find another crewmember on Getbig!!

I worked on ships for a while, embarkation day, the highlight of the week lol....not! I always had to be onboard so could hardly ever got to the mall to do some shopping. I guess you cant be competing at the moment. Cant imagine ship food and an endless supply of alcohol is condusive to training :-)

Yep, casino staff can make some good money on the ships. Tips can be good like you say, depending on the clientele cruising at the time.

Once your higher up on the ladder there are a few positions which make some good money on board. I'd be a cruise ship captain over a pilot any day of the week, except for Captain Schettino
