NECK PAIN/PROBLEMS
« on: March 24, 2015, 02:22:04 AM »
Fuck it! Stiff neck, small muscletears in the traps/neck. Stiff/lockings in vertebra etc...every second month...

Is this ageing? Never had it in my teens/20ies...

More like lack of some minerals/microelements. Have a blood test on these.

Try to do workouts "around" your injuries, otherwise will only get worse and worse. You might have some spine missalignment also, visit a osteopath or chiropractor. It was very helpfull in my case.

My friend had some of these issues and it turned out that his crucial bone related minerals and vitamins are non existent, and probably have been like that for years.

Home made "Pressure therapy" with tennis balls - might help a lot.

Get an MRI done, I put up with it for years and ended up with atrophy down my right side, the diagnosis was reduced disc height resulting in nerve compression, ended up with disc replacement at three heights, you never recover totally from nerve damage,

How are you doing now?  I have had a c6 issue for years and have been avoiding surgery (just injections).  I have all the symptoms but no atrophy or strength loss. Tingling and pain running down my arm can drive me nuts at times.

Im doing ok, I put up with it for years get it diagnosed if its a disc height issue get it replaced where possible, once you let it go and atrophy happens it will never totally recover, best example I could use would be Ronnie, im 5 year post op and Im 80% on my right to my left. It was the end of lifting and training as I knew it but I evolved and whilst I cant ever put on size again, Im past that point anyway.

It was in 2011 and not good. C6 fracture from multiple concussions (college football) with c6 nerve root impingement. Its been treated with cervical spine injections since.  I have been avoiding the surgery.

Thanks for your input!
