Just an extreme version of age avoidance.

All you young guys that say "when I am 50, I am just gonna go quietly and not worry about 'size' or being in great shape" are delusional. Once you get to this age, you'll realize that you still have a lot of living to do and there's no fucking way that you want to be just another shlub in the middle of the normal distribution. It's even worse if you've always been ahead of the pack. It's not an illness to want to be the best version of yourself (in mind and body) that you can be. Rich is just an extreme form of that. He's probably 100% aware of the risks and has made something of an internal risk/reward analysis.

Which is why... Going further than 20lbs past your genetic set point is good enough with drugs. It will all be lost. 20lbs is just over an inch, will be noticeable, but can still look good.

Guys who gain too much size look like shit when the party ends...

If your concerned about size at 50 years old you've got some mental issues IMO.
