reminds me of the early days of pop idol and x-factor, where the producers would proceed through to the televised audition part some obviously mentally disturbed, but talentless individual for their added 'comedic' value for the slugs slumped on their couches at home to have a good laugh at.
similar shit here. only its not for a cheap laugh, but money for the shows promoter. make the weight class and you're in. its a pisstake and takes away from the competitors that have put in months of effort and expense to be there. must be very uncomfortable for the competitors and the paying audience to have to sit through the routines of some of the poor deluded sods who think they're bodybuilders.
