Yep, just like its bullshit to believe in any one of the current religions that plague the world

All churches should have their tax breaks revoked. They are businesses.

Totally agree. Fuck all this bullshit. It is the apex of man's stupidity.

People of all religions do that, not just Christians. Have you actually ever had a conversation with a devout Muslim/Jew...etc?

Even some non religious but irrational people do that. How many times have I heard someone tell me that they think religion is a fairy tale while checking their horoscope. :D

go to www.tonyortega.org...

go to youtube.com and see high ranking officials of scientology ACTUALLY STALKING AND HARASSING former members who are in the documentary and who have spoken out! because you know it's quite normal for a "church/religion" to send it's members out in public to stalk and harass those who have left and spoken out! i mean doesn't every religion do this???!! (sarcasm)

scientology is much MUCH worse then the documentary showed.... being only 2 hours, they left out alot!

example: wife of the leader hasn't been seen in public since 2007! their story? she's working at one of their private compounds in the mountains and happy as can be never to show her face EVER, never to attend ANY scientology event no matter how important, or big or small. the alleged real story?: she pissed off her husband big time and he banished her to this compound and she's being held there. course she's so brainwashed she probably would tell anyone she's happy as can be, wants to be there, etcetera. actress leah remini who was born into the cult who recently left as did her family filed a missing report on the wife,, allegedly the LAPD looked into it, allegedly talked to the wife who said she was alive and well and fine and that was that?! who knows if the LAPD actually took the time to see this person in person and knew it was actually her?...

the thing is how strange and fishy can it get? the wife of the leader of a 'religion' who was everywhere and anywhere for years and years SUDDENLY stops being seen in public for going on 8 years? not once going out to support her husband and/or the religion as the wife of the LEADER! she's happy happy and working working working 24/7 she never thinks she should and never wants to go out in public? really?
likewise simply from a P.R.standpoint the leader with all the crap going down about his "religion" NEVER THINKS he should have her with him to show the public, the world that she's fine? regardless if he thinks he shouldn't have to do this and who cares about the public, ANYWAY with a ounce of intelligence and whatever, would know to show the wife in public JUST ONCE! to prove everything and she is okay....

just this simple story/fact of the "missing" wife is just the tip of the iceberg of this cult and what was NOT shown in the documentary! there is another documentary by director louis theroux for the BBC that is in the works right now.
It's a cult and she is probably dead, murdered by her husband.

A cult is  nothing more than a religion without political power.

Allow me an "Easter themed" metaphor:

Scientology is an egg with layers of insanity beneath a shell of deception. Mormonism is another such egg filled with the base desires of the man that founded it with the caveat that it's outer shell is more sugar coated than Scientology's.  But the nougat inside each of them contain elements of similarity.

Contrast those two with the shit-coated outer shell of the nut of Islam.  Inside is a rich, hate filled nougat of misogyny, pedophilia, torture, intolerance, violence and murder.

More often than not, when a person sets up a "religion", he does so with the idea of making money and getting sex from anyone they desire it with.  Power does indeed corrupt.  In order to gain absolute power one must push that corruption out to the masses.

Sometimes governments are just crap.  And shit comes from a big asshole.  As you know, the turd doesn't fall far from the anus.  Should churches be taxed?  Maybe, but recall the way the IRS treated the "Tea Party" groups and think of just how a really BIG anus would just love to crap all over anyone that they disagree with and taxing people or groups to extinction would be so easy, so "legal".

So "patriotic".  So all about "fairness" and "equality" and all those other libtard and faux conservative terms that the DC crowd flings like so much monkey poo from the pulpits of their "church".  Sounds like absolute power, doesn't it?

I don't think we should tax churches.

Here's my Scientology story. Or my friend's actually.

About 24 years ago when I lived in LA I got a call from a friend. He tells me he accepted a telemarketing job with Scientology. They flew him out from Kansas City and put him up in their big dorms in Hollywood.

He told me they started bombarding him with their dogma the minute he got there. He felt totally uncomfortable and wanted to leave. He told them this was not for him, and that he would reimburse them for the plane fare. They wouldn't let him leave, and held his belongings "hostage".

He was able to sneak to a phone and call me. I went down there with my then wife and infant son to pick him up. He was outside arguing with some guy. He just kept asking for his stuff, and the guy kept on calmly saying "Jim, settle down. Come back in and let's talk". After a couple of minutes of this I rolled down the window and yelled "Just give him his fucking stuff!" The guy turned to look at me and turned right back around without saying a word and started talking to my friend again. A security patrol car then stopped next to us and started talking to someone on his radio. My friend finally just got in the car and left with us.

Long story short, we went to the Hollywood Division police station and spent several hours there waiting to be helped. Finally a cop went back with him and escorted him back to his room to get his stuff. After that incident, I knew they were crazy and dangerous.

And here's what he messaged me last week...

"The day I called you after my escape from the Scientology celebrity center, I was interrogated for almost 24 hours locked in a room two levels down under ground. Each entry point had a card key access so it was very difficult for you to get up to the public area and see day light.

I told them I no longer want to work there because of the low pay and extremely long hours. They then routed me to their Ethics division. There they proceeded to drill me off and on for 24 hours with very little sleep. They thought I was a spy sent from the Government. I repeatedly denied it but they are good at breaking you down. It was terrifying.

I was in process of being sent to another building and being locked up in a room with no windows at some camp outside of LA. I prayed to God for help and a lady in a uniform had walked by and I told her she was to take me up to ground floor. When I got past all the security points, I told her I just needed to use the restroom. I looked for the gated entrance and made a run for it.

I was being chased down by the military Scientology guards but I made it through before the gates closed. I had no money and I was at a pay phone. Fortunately a man gave me some change and that's when I called you... Scientology is a very dangerous org. They are experts in mind control. People have been known to be assigned to the FREE WINDS SHIP and disappear. Once the ship is out beyond international waters, there is no law."

Dangerous shit.

what is known as the sea org (organization) are the ones who wear the ridiculous navy looking attire when they are "official working business" it's their work attire.. they are also the ones who sign the infamous BILLION year contract to stay in, to work for scientology. a billion years? well that's nothing when they believe they are immortal beings, this is just 1 lifetime and 1 body and then will come back in a different body over and over and over again..

oh, and this sea org (the really dedicated and really nutty over the regular nutty scientologists) was created by hubbard who fancied himself a sea/ocean explorer/captain (because he was in world war 2 and decorated with medals and honors captain! uh, the truth was he was relieved of any and all duties because he was a failure accidentally firing on something i forget the story. it was also this time where hubbard (BIGGEST PATHOLOGICAL LAIR AND B.S'ER) claimed he left the service not only with honors and medals but because of various "war" injuries. which also in documented proof was a lie as well.. he claimed various injuries including for a short period blindness and that only his "internal" in depth study of the mind and body that ONLY He discovered (the beginning of his book dianetics, which  then led to scientology) he basically cured himself of any and all injuries.. documents show he had no injuries, certainly not any partial or temporary blindness!....

anyways, for years hubbard made his "base" on this big ole yacht sailing around the world exploring and looking for ways to help mankind and all the members who were on there with him, helping him, became the original sea org members and now it has stucked years and years later, although now of course they are on dry land. the truth is he was on the run from the f.b.i, the i.r.s. and gosh knows who else and that is why he was on the seas/oceans trying to hide from them in international waters!....

watch videos of hubbard on youtube. com and ask yourself how could anyone then or now listen and worship this utter fraud and weirdo insane creepy person...

As a JoeBlow citizen joining them is suicide.
High tier members may have some elbow room and get the advantage of having slaves at their service... although I wonder how higher ups duke it out when it comes to ranking and financial benefits - guess murder is an option at this level.
Would love to join a Cruise ship of Tom "Hubbard" Cruise and watch tragedy after tragedy unfold.

Btw - being Xenuphobic is a crime.  >:(

I find it particulary ironic when a Christian bashes on Mormons. I point out that Christians are the Jewish Mormons..

The "fact" is any religion bashing on another religion for being false or fake is the epitomy of irony..

Like someone in the program said, paraphrased, "if you take it serious you will go nuts". Same with
other religions, it's fine to sort of entertain these supernatural things and beliefs, but if you
become a "true believer", really believe without any doubt, you will go nuts. Doubt is good, keeps you grounded.

Or a complete and total fucking idiot to believe any of it.
