Sammy can only sing the Van Haggar songs better than DLR. I'm talking when both singers were in their prime.

DLR is one of the greatest frontmen in rock n roll history. Not singer....frontman...the re's a difference.

Absolutely, agree. Sammy was a fine replacement. Sammy was fine before Van Halen as the Red Rocker and with Montrose. Van Halen will always be fondly remembered by purists with DLR the original.

DLR was, is and will always be the ultimate California frontman. Doesn't even matter how weak his live vocals are. He is THE MAN. Legendary performer, and even though he's 60, he can still kick your ass all up and down the mean streets.

When talking about the original VH you can't leave out Michael Anthony. His playing and  back up vocals were a very important ingredient to their sound. Guess Eddie giving his son a job was more important than the integrity of the band. Blood is thicker than water.

Get Mike back and replace Dave with Ralph Saenz (Atomic Punks, Metal Skool/Steel Panther). Otherwise, bury your dead.

Absolutely, that's why they replaced Dave with Sammy in the first place. Dave wanted things his way. Now he is just keeping his mouth shut and collecting his money. He knows better now.

I remember it like it was yesterday,,going on howard stern and I think arsenio or leno and seriously trying to sell it,,howard tried to get cherone to sing, and he was like no,no too early ,,eddie was like not in interview mode and just walked around'howards description'playing guitar riffs ,unplugging amp.playing with tone on guitar,it was a trainwreck from the get go...and then the first single came out and it was like cherones nuts were getting squeezed over eddies whailing guitar...

How about when David Lee Roth took over for Howard when he left K.Rock for Sirius. That was a major fail, lasted for a few months and they bought out his contract.
