Yeah, like white kids aren't greased through the system all the time? Harvard's legacy acceptance rate is something like 30%. But, yeah, minorities get all the special treatment and every other segment of society is a strict meritocracy.
And the SATs are bullshit anyway. Even colleges are putting less focus on them because how well you do on them correlates with how much you spend on test prep. They aren't a measure of functional knowledge or even a measure of your ability to take standardized tests in general. To a certain degree, they are more a measure of your ability to score well on the SATs than they are of anything else. Even Harvard's dean of admissions has spoken out about the problems with the SAT and the test prep industry.
Society, including college, is a strict meritocracy for straight white middle class males, who, by the thousands, have to do at least as much as that black kid does, and there's never a major news story about it. When a black comes close, even with PC push, it's still the equivalent of a "man bites dog story", because it is so rare.
SAT is shit, but not the math part of the test. Either you can do the math, or you can't. Blacks can't do math. That's why you go to any college level courses in STEM, and they are virtually devoid of blacks.
