if it were in another country, say UK, australia etc- that have strict gun laws it'd go like this..guy runs off.. cops either chase and taser, or chase and apprehend, or dont chase.if they dont chase- he gets away. they log his details and pick him up in follow up.but because of the number of guns in the US, everything is heightened. the cops are shit scared of being shot. they are on edge.everyone has their hands on the trigger ready to shoot. expecting people to make rational decisions under the stress of constantly being worried about your life is crazy.and im not defending the cop here. yet people go to jail for acting in these stressful situations. cue the pro gun lobbyists.

they didn;t know abouot the planting of the taser until the video came out - even though he tossed it there while cop #2 watched. So cop #2 was never asked, or cop #2 quietly kept it to self... but tossing a weapon near a dead body that's still bleeding lol - usually that kind of 'disturbing the crime scene' should raise eyebrows with Cop #2.If Cop #2 saw shooter toss weapon next to body, he should have alerted IA or whoever. That's a HUGE deal. Not saying anything - when you're a cop - is condoning the crime.
I just watched a 3min plus version of the shooting... If I'm "planting" a weapon on a subject, what would be the point in picking up the weapon and holstering it as this officer did with the taser? Wouldn't I leave it on the ground to be found by the crime scene personnel?
