Sadly Chances are he would of lied,
And That is What is at The Root of The Cop Problem.
The Honesty is Disappearing.
He would of lied & Likely His Partner Too.

Thankfully it Was Caught on Camera.

Except that.. isnt there video that is going to be released later? Can I assume it is dash cam? Should I assume if it is, the officer would already KNOW the video will show him picking up the taser? We are "Ifing" lke MF's here.. 

Again, you only need 60 college credits to be a cop. Some of them are not the brightest around.

I doubt the dash cam would catch something on the side of the road that far.  Methinks cops know how far to walk to avoid that.

If not, then the camera will 'malfunction" just like the radio malfunctioned with Ferguson shooter.  then the body cam malfunctioned in that other shooting at gas station.

The body camera turned off right before the shooting, 2 other cops didn't see anyone, nobody found in area, no weapon... just shady as can be.

& We are Not in possession of the Full Facts
Of the Case. And are not Qualified to have
A proper understanding of the Events.
And Cannot Possibly Understand the Work load,

I think the cop shot the guy, was traumatized because he just capped a guy for no legal reason. He thinks "Dang, my taser is on the ground over there, what if some kids walk up on it? I better go get it" He trots back and picks it up. Doesn't holster it  because he knows it's an important part of the situation and there are wires coming from the cartridge. Gets back to the main scene as the black officer is walking up and tosses the taser to the ground, in front of the other cop which happens to be a few feet from the body. There they can both keep an eye on it. After a minute he thinks "damn, I can't leave that there, people will think the subject brought it over here. It will give a false picture and look bad for the guy" so he then picks it up from the ground and places it in his holster.

You forgot the "and then he proceeded to give the victim mouth-to-mouth through he victim's penis". That would've added a little credibility to the story.

My local news has the story of course.  The facebook comments aar 95% against the cop.

The 5% that support the cop are making comments like "shouldn't have ran" and "we didn't see the rest of the tape, what happened first".   I clicked on their pages out of curiosity, and 100% of the time, they have some anti-obama stuff on their timeline, every single time.

I think there's some correlation between "supporting police" and "hating obama", which is odd, as they're both authority figures.  Maybe it comes down to skin color, I dunno, but in this case, race seems very small.  Cop is a hateful prick that gunned down a dude in broad daylight and fucked with evidence to shift blame.  not much to say.

Obama is, like many of his peers, definitely not an authority figure - but I understand... despots dare to dream.
Race has been The issue and will be climbing the ranks. Maybe the bacefook people felt better because the could go off on the "oppressive cops" and thus avoid any instigating remarks.
