Thanks to independent witnesses and physical evidence in that particular case
physical evidence actually countered what the cop said.
Blood evidence showed after being hit, he ran 150 feet to shoot again. In his story, it was 30 feet.
Either he can't judge distance, got his bell rung very hard with the punch, or is lying. But the PD repeated that 30 feet lie over and over, KNOWING it was 150 feet. They wished to minimize how long the cop ran with the kill order in his mind.
Tough to justify wasting a fucker 150 feet from the original assault. They kept trying to connect the two. Cop got punched, made the decision to chase down and shoot Brown, and that's exactly what happened. With a video, the ending is WAY different, you can bet on that. That's 1/2 a football field, this "injured" cop ran. Remember the PD leaking the "fractured orbital bone" lie over and over? Never happened.
Ferguson is another example of 1) cops exaggerating shit and 2) police dept perpetuating a known falsehood to pacify the public. Both of these practices can suck a dick.
