They're using guns as PROPS.
We'll see guns everywhere, proud to hold them up for the camera and PRETEND they're fine with open carry at political events. After all, it was cool a few years back when dudes were bringing rifles to political rallies, right?
Well, no. "All guns on the convention floor will be nonoperational, with the firing pins removed". That's right, they're all props, pretending to support an armed America, but in actuality, it's all about disarming people they don't trust and letting only "their people" have guns. A gun with no firing pin is just as bad as no gun at all.
