It's interactive, artistic (on a creating level), challenging, and can be fun.  I can see someone thinking gaming is pointless though.  Realistically, it's a huge waste of time.  Up there with watching sports, movies, posting on a forum, etc.
The thing I don't get are big sports fans of a specific team.  You're a bystandard someone taking joy in another's achievements, not even your own.  I always marvel at the guys painted up for the next big Giant game.  Go to the stadium, get drunk, then trash talk superior athletes to themselves.

You want a great game of pure skill though...have you tried Trials Fusion?

Personally, GTA is the bottom of the barrel to me.  Open world aimlessness.  It received great ratings, but I couldn't play it for more than 5 minutes.

That being said my MKX file is preloading now...nice.

Then when it came out on PC I bought it, but my PC at home at the time was not high end enough to run it... so my dad let me come to his office and use one of the company computers that was used for Autocad designs so it was pretty high end (for the time), and I'd just stay there and play while employees would walk by and be like "WOW COOL!" lol

Will probably be a present for my woman's teenage daughter.

She's quite good (the daughter, not my lady. She hates these games lol) at these fightinggames (read: She's a buttonmasher of peace) and every time i get her a new game, she gives me quite a match (even though i was quite good at Mortal Kombat 1 back in the day) despite her being a buttonmasher of epic proportions.

I've taught her how to block and the advantage of blocking in certain games. She's getting better for each new game.

If lucky i might catch Kim Jong Bob online and may challenge him to a match of Mortal Kombat.

But we're alot older these days so our reactiontimes may not be up to par!
