Not sure why anyone would go on stage looking like that.. If I was the one paying for this guest appearance I would want my money back.

On pictures standing alone by himself yes.... in reality it's different because he's a true midget.

But you're right he was a pretty good bodybuilder for his era and was underrated.

I never said he looked great standing next to others, nor did I say he was better than others.

Standing alone or with others, he still has a good physique, whether he is 5'2" or 7'0"

Has been overrated for years. His back has ALWAYS sucked cock. And his gut has gotten bigger and more distended with each passing year. I agree, that he does indeed look like a "burlap sack of smashed assholes".

Of course there is a difference between a shorter and taller guy. However, even when Franco Columbo stood next to Arnold or Lou, he still had a great physique at 5'5". From a bodybuilding perspective, Arnold looked better, but it doesn't mean that Frank looked like shit either. Just because one bodybuilder looked better than another bodybuilder, it doesn't mean that the other bodybuilder looked bad. In other words, at his prime, Rockell looked great on a bodybuilding stage next to other bodybuilders, as well as when compared to the average joe (obviously).

At 5'6" myself, Id take the body of a shawn ray or dexter jackson.

You do realize that the only thing that matters is what you look like the day of the show right??!! In the days before social media and the internet the famous bodybuilders of that time were not being judged by their offseason look. Ronnie Rockel is an outstanding bodybuilder.

He's right you guys have a false sense of what people look like in offseason. The same old rockel is under that fat and massive amount of water. Why would I care what he looks like 6 months out? As long as he comes in shreeded. News flash not everyone walks around 7 to 10lbs from state weight. Women competitors maybe but but ask any male bodybuilder they will laugh.
