Yes. No politician has ever passed any law or policy that drastically changed my life or helped me in any way. I though politicians were supposed to be "For the People." Even when Bush was in office, nothing he did helped out me or anyone I knew. Obviously, they arent suppose to give me a job or help me graduate school. However, they are supposed to pass laws and policies that benefit humanity. Nope. Nothing.

The federal govt was originally only supposed to protect the country from legit fraud and harm. Keep terrorists and foreign enemies at bay, protect us from cyber crime, control immigration, and protect our interests abroad through sound foreign policy.

The problem is that there is too much government and too many laws, and that federal politicians have too much power and control over our lives already.

They aren't supposed to drastically change our lives or help us beyond the protections they're supposed to provide - which they're screwing up more and more.

I do like Cruz, and I really got a thrill up my leg (shades of Chris Matthews) when he gave his speech a couple of weeks ago. He's cut from a different cloth. But I don't see him even getting the nomination, and I don't see Hillary losing - unless MAYBE someone with the balls to totally destroy and annihilate her and drag her through the mud gets the nomination.

Bush has already said he's "going to run a clean campaign" if he's nominated. A clean campaign is a losing campaign.

Just about everyone is afraid of the Clintons. Even the rich guys like Trump Weill and the powerful guys like Giuliani who aren't afraid of Obama's wrath do speak of her with deference and great care.

I understand your reasoning here..good job....but I think its a little more complicated......you can argue that the two Bushes were not that conservative..they were quite reasonable in retrospect.....they didn't threaten social security or Medicaid..they weren't  trying to overturn abortion.....or limit the rights of gays and women.....they didn't try to shut down government....they were in no way die-hard fiscal conservatives.....and they both put blacks in very key positions

All Obama had to do was NOT SCARE WHITE PEOPLE...he had 95% of black vote, 80% of Asians, and 70% of Hispanics...he had young people, Wall street, the anti-war vote, and the gay vote too....
