I have a huge dislike for people that do pretty much all of these things. Statistically, your lengthy list is probably accurate. I'll give you this.

The problem with this is that not every black person does these things and not every white person is innocent of these traits.

White men have raped black women. White folks don't always take responsibility for their actions....and so on.

I personally know black people who are very pleasant. I have met black people who are extremely attractive. So on this part, I must say that what is attractive and what is pleasant must be a matter of experience and perception.

Trust me, I have no interest in trying to dissuade you from your obviously deeply held ideas about black folks. I suspect it would be a wasted effort anyway. Actually, I feel bad for you because black folks aren't going away. There is no movement to "send them all back to Africa" which is good since most black folks living in other countries didn't come from Africa, maybe their ancestors did, but not them personally.

A culture built on hate simply perpetuates more hate and negativity. Black folk were treated as animals for generations in this country. Is it surprising that some of them actually act as they were treated? Does one teach a Pit Bull to fight to the death and then complain that Pit Bulls are all dangerous dogs? Perhaps it is their trainers who are the most dangerous.

I grew up in Southern California. When my wife and I were first married, we lived in West Hollywood. We realized L.A. was becoming a place where we didn't want to make our life or raise our kids. We have no regrets about leaving. When we visit there, which is as seldom as possible, we are reminded that we made an excellent decision.

You can cite all the stats you like about black folks. It doesn't change the fact that they are here to stay. You can go through life fighting something or you can find a way to live with it. I choose the more positive route.

Like most people, I choose my friends from people I like. If someone does me wrong consistently, they are not my friend. Most of my friends are white and some are black. To me it is about the person. If I like them and they are good people then what color their skin is or whether their culture varies from mine is irrelevant. I like people that I can learn something from. If all my friends were nothing more than a carbon copy of myself, I wouldn't learn much.

It was too crowded and too expensive. We wanted to buy a house and we didn't want to move to Simi Valley and drive 60 miles to work everyday. On another note, West Hollywood and Laurel Canyon where we lived was a fun place for young singles. When the focus changed to being parents and raising a child, we realized that the party all the time phase of our life was over.....we'd matured.

I suspect you were looking for something more along the lines of us not liking the racial diversity that has happened in L.A. We moved to Oregon in the mid 60's. L.A. or at least where we lived in L.A. was pretty white. Granted a couple who we considered good friends were racially mixed, she being white and he being black. But back then that was still pretty unusual. In later years when we'd visit L.A. we were taken aback buy the feeling that we were somehow in a South American country and not the U.S. Being the minority in your own country feels weird.

Oregon's racial diversity has been slow in coming. This didn't figure in our decision to move to Oregon though. We actually tried to encourage our mixed race friends to move here too and they informed us that Oregon was not the place for them.  We were pretty naïve. We didn't know that racial discrimination was commonplace here at that time.

Thanks. Try being an old fart, like me. There is a lot about today's culture whether black, white or otherwise that I just don't get. For example, junior high school aged girls whose parents allow them to go to school dressed like hookers and for the school system that also allows children to show up looking like this. How about middle aged women with fat asses you see everywhere wearing "yoga pants". Not to exclude guys because the whole sagging pants thing is pretty funny too. What ever happened to pants that covered your butt as opposed to wearing them under your butt so everyone can see how your ass looks in your underpants? It's crazy!

Tattoos used to be a fringe thing that some service men got. Go to any gym and many of the middle-aged men and women are in the process of covering all visible skin with tattoo art work. It's like if you want to stand out in a crowd, you'd have more success if you had no tattoos.

Speaking of taking responsibility. Not taking responsibility seems more prevalent then taking responsibility. We can thank the legal system in part for this. If do something illegal and want to explain why you did it, you have to plead not guilty. Lawyers regularly advice clients to never admit to anything. What if I did it? It's a culture of no responsibility. I love my grandkids but they are struggling to find a place in society because nothing is ever their fault. There is always a reason why they fuck up, get bad grades in school, can't get a job or are just plain useless. One of the excuses we hand to our young folks is that they have ADHD. Well guess what? I probably suffered from this too. I was always distracted. Nobody cared...."he just doesn't pay attention" is what my teachers said about me.

Okay, I am an old ranting man right now, probably no different then the old folks that came before me. "That young generation is just a bunch of lazy good for nothings," is something my predecessors probably said. Okay, I'm done.

You couldn't be more wrong. I am white. I live in a neighborhood not very different from Grosse Pointe, just newer. I like where I live. If you wanted to call me out in a way that had any inkling of truth, you'd have called me out for being elitist as some other folks who actually read what I've posted did.
