LMFAO Have you paid attention to our behavior? It's the stamp of our lowly origins. We are animals in more than one sense of the word.
Your argument does not hold up because to say, "Well humans are animals and hunt animals" assume that everyone is "prey" to their baser instincts. That is not true, as there are many people who can use logic and reason and oppose hunting.
I'd go as far as to say that there is something more involved with people that hunt, beyond their base instincts. I am sure hunters hold different worldviews and maybe have a different set of personality constellation factors compared to those people who oppose hunting. There is something more to it than "We are animals."
For example, I have a feeling that many people that hunt are republicans, and many people who oppose hunting are liberals. Just an assumption.
Furthermore, the fact that endangered species are protected and not allowed to be hunted demonstrates that we can use logic and reason to dictate our behavior. If we were slaves to our basic instincts, I surmise that there would be a lot more animals no longer existing. But there aren't because we know when "enough is enough." We realize that killing off species can endanger the ecosystem. So, the argument that we hunt purely because we are animals is not the sole answer. It may be part of it, but not the WHOLE answer.
