Glad I'm not a cop.  I think I would have tazed her about 20 seconds in.  He's a better man than me, with much more patience as well.

We need more police officers like this guy. Even in the face of an idiot, he kept his cool. He realized his life was not in any immediate danger and there was no need to pepper spray, taser her, or shoot her. I suspect a lot of police officers would have used excessive force with this idiot driver. That's the problem: Many cops not having the ability to differentiate between situations that are truly dangerous, as opposed to ones that aren't. Now, of course any situation can turn to shit. I get that. But a 17 year old female driver is most likely not carrying around an AK-47 in her trunk. The cop should still be on guard and vigilant, but that doesnt mean cracking skulls either, until it warrants it.

Kudos to this cop. He probably had a good laugh about it.

Can you refuse to answer the question: "Where are you coming from?" or "Where are you going?"

The times I have been pulled over for minor traffic violations, I ALWAYS get asked either one or both of those questions. Why are they asking this? Is this a standard question? Why does it matter?

I answer the question, in hopes that being nice and compliant will get me off with just a warning.  :D

Dependa on what time of day it is, or how you are dressed.
Answering it might be able to help you get out of a ticket.

Example: a weekend, dressed up and rushing to a wedding.
Another example: Dressed up, with a bottle of champagne (unopened)---it's your wife's/GF birthday and you are rushing to meet her at a fancy restaurant.
