Parker - Car Question

Ever heard of a Cheetah? GM's answer to the Cobra in the 60s, I think.

Yes, sir. Bill Thomas Cheetah. Bill is (was) my buddy's dad. Some dude started replicating them in the 90s, had a pretty successful business going. We were there when the guy trailered the prototype over from Arizona.

Dude said God told him to build it in a dream, no lie.

Yes and last night I finally saw a Ferrari 1964 250 GTO in person for the first time. The collector was nice enough to show me it

red? I like the series II bodies better. Rare and they look different with the flying buttresses.

not in price...
It was due to the Shelby Daytona that Ferrari was pissed it was beating his 250 GTO.
But, yeah the GT-40 rendered the solid rear axle, front engined GTO obsolete.

Yes. I believe the series 2 is the 64 version which was what I saw. 62-63 were the series 1. Will have to look it up to be sure

That's the thing...what makes Ferrari the world's most powerful brand. These old cars go on auction for almost 40 million dollars. Whereas the GT-40 doesn't.
And it was because Ford was unsuccessful in buying Ferrari that the GT-40 even existed. So the GT-40 owes its existence to Ferrari.

The GT-40 didn't do too well when it first came out, and by then the 250 was obsolete. I don't even think Ferrari was racing it at the time the GT-40 came out.

Will be interesting how the new $400,000 Ford GT will do in races.

Haha like Denzel says in training day "my ni$$a!!"  ;D

Exactly I find it funny when people talk about how American cars beat this and that for a fraction of the price yet these wealthy people could care less. They can afford anything and money means jack! Only people who justify price is cause they want to feel like they bought the better product for less

This is the guy we met at their house. The two worked out some kind of deal and the guy got to work on it some time ago. Then Bill died and things went to shit for the partner and my buddy, who had zero to do with any of it.

His siblings, turns out, somehow fucked the guy over on the original contract and ended up with money that should've gone to the builder. Then Mom dies, and she makes my pal - the only responsible/sane Thomas child - executor of the estate (which is worth quite a bit).

So guess who's now being sued by the Cheetah guy?

I told my buddy he should counter sue his piece of shit family, but he just wants it to go away. Costing him thousands just to prove he had no involvement in anything.

And lamborghini owns its existence to Ferrari being pos's. What is your point?
