Since 2009 it is illegal to carry guns, however crime rates haven't changed in the slightest.

Thanks bro. It's not a big deal really, I mean, yeah I feel some rage for being pointed with a gun, but that's it. My gf however was really scared.

even assuming you're Sean Penn or Diane Frankenstein and can actually get a CCW in my area, by the time you're being robbed at gunpoint by a brew it's much too late to use your own gun  :-\

CCW is only going to help if you've got the observation skills of a SF and never let your guard down, or carry 2 bags of groceries, or go out with your wife and kids etc

a BIG aggressive dog or 2 is much better and brews are generally terrified of big black dogs

And Great Danes.  Actually most people who are up to no good are afraid of large dogs. Dogs know instinctively what people are about and act accordingly. Nobody is going to rob our house, we have four dogs which sound very fierce whenever anyone comes to the door. If the dogs don't trust the folks, neither do I.

I highly doubt they ever walk around with much more than that in there pocket on a regular basis, most drug addicts I know go about bumming small amounts of cash at a time and never have a full wallet
