One of the bigger dudes at the gym where I workout is clearly in a lot of pain. It is obvious by the way he moves. He still lifts heavy though. He's also no youngster.

Some of the fellas from the nearby college who lift at the gym push around amazing amounts of weight, making me wish I was young again. There is nothing amazing about the resistance I use lately....it's pretty whimpy.

it is quite possible, there's two rooms in the locker room, there were people in the first room so i thought ok lets try the other but the thing is, you dont really know what to find there as it's the closest to the showers...
with a little bit of imagination im sure i can imagine it being the showers of a prison.

Some of the big chain gyms are the worst when it comes to locker room cruising. For variety, I got a membership at what was then called Nautilus Plus. The cruising going on in the locker room was ridiculous. I'm normally a very laid back kind of guy but this behavior is disarming to those of us who just go to the gym to exercise. I ended up not going to this place after a couple of times and went back to the gym I've worked out at for the last 32 years. There's no obvious hanky panky going on in the locker room there.

i managed to get my ass to the gym today, its been about a week since last time. im not in the zone anymore, i dont wear headphones and im not amped up, im quite shocked at how much time ive must have spent observering the others at the gym because i seem to remember a lot, here's what i saw happening:

man doing standing calves didnt go all the way up or down, what a waste i thought (still i bet he has bigger calves than me)
chubby girl did standing calves too, not sure why, she should check her diet, kinda cute but thigh-ass ratio was bad, ass needs to be bigger than thighs.
a personal trainer had his client hit the pads, not sure why, surely one can punch in the air by oneself for the same effect? then he had him do crunches.
a girl wearing camoflage tights did squats with one of those crossfit bags you can wear around your neck.
a guy was doing small jumping knees to a heavy bag, clearly a street fighter so i tried to stay away from him.
a quite big guy was doing chest presses with dumbbells, stayed clear of him to and i went and did a few sets with the incline machine instead.
two people were talking half the time i was there one of them had curly hair and reminded me of a clown.
i went and had a sip of water.
in the lockerroom one guy was naked. i quickly throw my stuff into the locker and when i turned around he was still naked and bent over. i quickly rushed past him.
when i was leaving the gym i saw a very puny guy and for a second there i smiled thinking im not the smallest guy in here. then i realized he was 15 years old.

that's about it.


Seem to me quite ordinary day at the gym. What I have find out is the fact, that gyms have some kind of magnetism for stupid people, because even the guys who look quite sane do ridiculous things in the gym. For now, I go to gym 3 times per week at the morning, but some times I change days, going like Tu-We-Fr or Mo-We-Th, and what I have realize is that I see same guys every time I go there, no matter which days I choose. This may be possible only if these dorks are training every day at the week, and by far, that is the most stupid thing to do because most of them are naturals. They train relatively hard and with heavy weights, so how they will recover from all that training? For me, if I train legs at the Wednesday, I have no need to train them before next week, because they are sore for days after training. These dorks are training legs twice or even three times per week, and what's best, some of them go in the gym twice per day like pro's who are filled with gear.  And when I compare their technique to my own, there is this difference: I add weight week by week and my posture and range of motion remain same all the time. They add weight day by day and their posture is crappy, and their range of motion gets shorter and shorter week by week. I have some times point this out some of the guys and explain how much better results they would get with correct ROM, but I find it to be useless because they doesn't seem to understand these complicated terms like "correct" and "range of motion".  For example, there was this young fellow doing "bent over" rows like Yates used to do them, meaning standing right up, and between the sets this guy was holding his lower back and limping around and whine. I ask him if he realize that the pain comes from the crappy posture and too heavy weights, and if he would do it right, he wouldn't have problems with his back. He seem to listen for the moment, and then he go and continue his sets, adding even more weights, holding his back and limping. Never see that guy again, but I am sure that doctor did, because disc prolapse isn't fun at all ;D

My current routine puts me in the gym 5 days a week for not more than 45 minutes a session.  Each day I train one body part. This allows my muscles a full week to recover. Being as how I am a senior, my recovery time takes longer than it did when I was young. I use moderate weights and strict movements to avoid injuries. I'm over trying to be a "mass monster" which never really happened anyway.

there is a young fella in my gym with a horrible body odour. I have asked the gym owner to politely tell him to use a deodorant before coming to gym.
It has been a few days now and he hasn't been back to gym.

I was just trolling a little, I doubt I would confront someone about their putrid odor. I would probably just avoid them as much as possible. As I work out at home, if there is someone stinky there I can just take a shower and the problem is solved.

its been 10 days since last time and i managed to get to the gym again. i did the following

leg extensions
leg press
seated leg curls

thats it.

i dont think you need to go balls to the wall training legs in order to get growth, maybe if you've reached 95% of your genetic natural limit you really, really, need to push it to make additional gains, but if youre a twink and nowhere near your limit, the body will grow anyway. im quite confident that these three exercises alone (well two only as i mostly use leg extensions as a warm up) will be more than enough for me to grow my legs rapidly and massively.

im looking to work my ass with the glute machine next, it seems like an akward exercise but i think its be worth it to get that bubble butt both men and women enjoy, appreciate and adore.

as for gym observations, not so much today but here's some:

there were a bunch of women doing some kinda circuit training involving rubber balls and stuff, and one man. naturally i was looking at the man and he looked pretty well hung to the left.

there were a tall guy with long hair and a beard and a tank top. on his arm he had tattoes. the biggest one was of batman. i do not know why you would tattoo batman on your arm.

the legpress was, as always, empty.

in the lockerroom a guy had a shirt that was hanging down to his knees as he was pulling down his underwear, if i would have timed it better i mightve got a glimpse of his package.

beside my locker a black guy was taking his jeans off but for some reason i didnt check out his ass. my focus was clearly off today!

i didnt have a padlock for my locker and i was worrying, not for people to steal my stuff, but to tamper with my proteinshake, maybe pissing in it. but it tasted fine!

its that time again, i hit the gym!! only been 6 days since last time...

i got a tennis elbow so im trying to find ways to work around it i did rows, lateral raises and machine oh presses felt pretty good! im trying not to do anything where the arms need to be completely straight.

im soon gonna do legs twice a week so im thinking about getting them measured and then see how much theyll grow in 3 months i sense some big ass growing from very little effort here and it would be nice to be able to prove it.

not much observations at the gym, a girl that was a personal trainer had a voice of a man. a few old people. a moron spending more time in front of the mirror than training. not a single hot chick at this hour.

pre workout meal was 4 cheeseburgers.

I just got home from training. People bitch about curling in the power rack, that at least has some explanation. Saves picking it up from the floor.

Today I observed a new one. 3 guys with a bench inside the power rack doing DB press and flys. What a total douchebag use of space.
