This sums up the gym bros and fitness ho's belief system.
« on: April 19, 2015, 04:17:00 PM »

One couple  asked me a number of things in regards to what the judges were looking for in regional shows.

About 2 weeks before the contest, I asked 'em if they wanted me to check their posing.

The girl replied ; " Sorry Howard, but we were told NOT to take any more advice from you from ******* .
He said you don't know what the judges are looking for, so we're sticking with him."

LOL< I was a judge and charged them zero. Of course he charged them a hefty fee, and they came in flat using some diuretics they didn't need.

It odd, but some people believe the more they pay, the more valuable the advice. The lesson for you is to charge people for the privilege of your advice and  you have their respect.

Maybe that's it?

What cracked me up is that they knew I was an active NPC judge at the time.
The other guy had a few failed attempts at competing and used obvious synthol .

I shook my head in disbelief, when she said...YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THE JUDGES ARE LOOKING FOR.

I softly laughed and just replied ; "...You're right ***** ,  I have no idea what the judges want."

I walked off, worked out and barely talked to them again.

That was a good move Howard. When people act stupidly, it's best to distance yourself from them.

One of my favorite grad school prof. once told me;
" Don't  debate with a drunk or dumbass."

Judging in this country at least is corrupt, most of the judges are 'prep coaches', run 'posing practice' days every Saturday before a show or are main steroid dealers

I hear rumors of that everywhere now.
I suspect some of that is true everywhere , to some degree now?

I was a dinosaur, before I quit judging 3 years ago.
I was one of the very few judges that worked completely OUTSIDE the "fitness industry".
If the contest promoter got a decent crowd, I'd often refuse to take the judges fee stipend ( avg 75- 100 usd $)

I wasn't perfect, but proud to say I  was 100% objective and fair.
