Ronnie Coleman's pain tolerance?
« on: April 19, 2015, 06:13:43 PM »
Seems like Ronnie Coleman won't be happy untill everything is replaced and he is in a wheelchair for good.

Why not just use a lightweight for 15-20 reps...why do this? He has nothing left to prove....it just seems crazy at 50 to do this.

I dare say his dysfunctional childhood caused lifelong insecurities that can't be rectified.  Such people always feel a need to prove themselves no matter how accomplished they become.  Not only this, after a lifetime of PED abuse such people can't face life without them, people like this are happy to die early as long as they feel they lived the way they wanted.

Training "style" gets set early in one's training career. Even if he lowered the weight he'd still jerk the weights in the same manner. It's like one's posing style, it also becomes set very early.

But yes, the movement executions looked piss poor. Cheating, jerking (which robs the worked muscle of tension), bad angles etc.

Most 50 year olds I know enjoy powerlifting with at least 500 or 600 pounds.

Some people just don't find it fun or interesting to train with higher reps/lighter weights.

Denervation atrophy, likely.

Hip replacements are usually good for around 15 years I'd say. If he keeps this up, he'll be in for revision in 5.

The cervical fusion is no joke. He should not be doing anything over his head and if that fails it won't be pretty.

Nothing can change Ronnie now. He's been used to heavy weight all his career. So, even if most of the reps are half reps and jerking, he just won't lower the weight.

Total insanity + douchy when considering that he talks about god so much.
He is destroying the very temple that god gave him - hope his 400 children are in the mood to carry him around when he's 60.

His "nothin but a peanut" catchphrase was probably a reference to his brain size.
