When you were a boy they were saying whites dating non-whites was a sign society is going to hell. Your grandchildren will be complaining about machines dating non-machines.
Never heard that. Never. Not saying it wasn't said somewhere before now but I never heard it and I am olde. Personally, I don't much care for the groping crappola that passes for public (pubic?) displays of affection from anyone, anywhere.
A friend once said of the recent minor sensationalism of sex changes wherein someone of deeeeep thought says how "brave" the person cutting their wiener or boobs off is.
They said, "Brave?! Bullshit. Brave is throwing yourself on a grenade meant for your comrades. Cutting off your privates to spite nature is just plain stupid."
Or something like that.
I've known plenty of homosexual men that could give a fuck about announcing it to the world and no, they have never been skeeered of what people would think. One of them once remarked to me that he noticed how when we met the first thing I failed to do was tell him my sexual orientation. He never mentioned his either. I only (GASP!) discovered it when I went to his apartment and his boyfriend was there with him and he introduced him as such.
BFD. I have always maintained that I will be friends with just about anyone that so desires friendship. I have never had a true friend that is homosexual "hit" on me. Why? Because they are my friend. I have had plenty of men do the opposite and for the greater part I ignore it or shine it on (70s term!) as a form of flattery and if at a party and their attentions failed to cease I would inform my host/hostess and then quietly leave.
By all means, "be yourself". If however being yourself involves squealing like a butthurt Nellie and demanding that I accept said behavior as fine, screw that. Same with heterosexuals. I don't need to see you tongue wrestle. Same with lesbians. I have no need nor desire to see such idiots sexpress (a dear friends fitting term for such misbehavior) themselves in public.
And yes, I do realize that your comments were not directed at me but mine were directed toward yours in the beginning of my treatise but the rest was meant for general reading by everyone here at GB.
Be well.
