THIS is what they did in Ferguson - Police INTENTIONALLY gave the rioters one day to make a MAJOR mess - and on purpose - in order to garner public support.  They moved very slow on purpose, and they LET a small group of idiots do anything they wanted.   instead, they spent the night complaining about 15 injured cops and they LET the bad guys do it.

THE MAYOR ADMITTED IT::::>

What no one expected is what Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake admitted in a press conference on Sunday: that she asked the Baltimore Police Department to “give those who wished to destroy space to do that.”

http://fusion.net/story/126587/the-odd-tactic-of-giving-baltimore-protesters-space-to-destroy-property/

She slipped up by revealing it, but this is EXACTLY the strategy used in Ferguson, and I fcking called it then - they're playing the public relations game, letting a small group of idiots have the spotlight to be bad without even trying to stop them, for a day.  Those cops moved purposely slow, they surrendered "hamsterdam", a small % of baltimore, to let the bad guys do anything.  It's a political strategy, and it's not new.  And now the mayor ADMITS it.

You also called the cop planting the taser so your record isn't so hot.

What she did was use very poor wording to describe their strategy. When you step outside your moms house into the real world, there are consequences and unintended consequences for almost every action. Having experience in dealing with potentially violent crowds, there is always a Ying and Yang of police response. Too hard (Ferguson) and it flames the anger, too soft (Rodney King LA riots) and it can gain momentum. The answer is a mixture, what that specific mixture is, is often an unknown variable. IN this case, apparently they planned on letting the crowd blow off steam hoping it would burn out quickly. In any riot it is basically trying to control chaos. Police are usually ALWAYS outnumbered, and outnumbered in a big way. You can't just shoot rioters and they know this so you are very limited on your actual ability to stop a rioting crowd. There is a psychology that plays into it.. police often appear in riot gear as it has a psychological effect. They move in unison for the same reason. If the crowd ever figured out they could overrun the cops, then there is no hope of containment. Your comment about the fire trucks not responding is a good indicator you are not well informed or educated on emergency response and the hurdles a riot can create for responding units.

So she screwed the pooch announcing what she did. It was likely a strategy developed in preliminary talks. If this happens, we will do this.. and if that happens we will likely do that.. but to announce giving a space for property destruction is about as stupid as it gets.. unless you think the police purposesly wanted to let them destroy the city, then I think you've trumped her

THIS.  There is nothing at all controlled about a fat cop hurling a rock back into a crowd lol.

Video of several cops throwing rocks and bricks into a crowd.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/04/27/police-throw-rocks-baltimore_n_7156614.html

Watching the video of the crowd throwing rocks at the cops.. The citizen in my thinks "If you think it's ok to hurl bricks and rocks at cops, it should be ok for them to shoot at you when you do it. At the very least, throw the same objects back at you." Then the cop in my says " Yeah.. can't throw rocks.."  But I do wonder why they weren't deploying less lethal bean bags or rubber bullets or pepper spray down range when the  the crowd was approaching throwing rocks.. maybe they don't have those options

It's funny... in the HBO series "the wire", the cops created a small section of Baltimore in which they allowed drug use and crime to take place, as long as it didn't spill over into other areas of the city:

This mayor has pulled a "Bunny" and announced an area where people can do their destruction.

Pretty sure you're the guy taking the orders, not giving them; your armchair posts, aside.

No better way to prove that black are wrongfully labeled as uneducated and violent people then to go out mass roiting and stealing to prove your point. I'm sure this will help to their case

http://mic.com/articles/116702/10-images-of-the-baltimore-riots-you-won-t-be-seeing-on-tv

thats like taking a small portion of whites that rioted after kentucky lost and label a whole race..

It shouldn't need to be cleaned up. It shouldn't have happened in the first place. At the end of the day, certain folks have to admit that they are their own worst enemy. And sure, you can pull up the occasional white riot, but those are exception to the rule, both in occurrence, and volume. And whitey does take them to task for it. No passing the buck on to "the man" or "they're just kids", etc....

I mean seriously...what the fuck are we talking about over here?

http://www.cnn.com/2015/04/24/us/baltimore-freddie-gray-death/
Freddie Gray did not get timely medical care after he was arrested and was not buckled into a seat belt while being transported in a police van, Baltimore police said Friday.

Police Commissioner Anthony Batts told reporters there are no excuses for the fact that Gray was not buckled in as he was transported to a police station.

certain folks condemn 1 riot and ignore another riot, solely based on skin color.

Seems fair enough to me.

Oh come on, if you guys had a riot every couple of years, then we could compare.

But you guys had Freaknik back in the day, Wildwood NJ every summer, Black Bike Week, various concert riots, etc.... and those are just the "fun riots". Let's not count the actual race ones, or the little mini riots in waffle houses, McDonalds's, Chuckie Cheeses, etc.... all the time cause someone got their Foamposites stepped on.

Heck they even burned down Sal's Pizza after Radio Raheem couldn't behave.
