Think they'd be willing to take it a step further, maybe admit they're really the ones responsible for the vast majority of black murder victims?
Of course not.  That type of behavior is acceptable in their culture.

Bringing these sociopathic fucks in on anything just reeks of retardation.

that can happen, under the right "guidance". Parties need to check their egos at the door.
Will it happen? That is another thing altogether.

TA, yes these are gang members. And yes, they may have criminal records. But, if out of the ashes of all this, these young men could grow into leaders that can help rebuild and repair Baltimore reputation. It's it the direction in which they want to go. Necessity can make for strange bedfellows. To say that they don't have ulterior motive would be naive. But, for right now..lets play a wait and see, before you issue the requisite "I told you so".

It would be cool

You white morons think anyone joins gangs anymore?

Crips  and bloods have no say what black kids do. no one joins gangs. Everyone knows it's every man for himself.

I think there was a very successful city , Tulsa Oklahoma....it was firebombed.
Im sure youll look it at objectivley.

FERGUSON BUSINESS OWNER: ‘I LOST EVERYTHING,’ RIOTING ISN’T PART OF PROTESTING

On Tuesday’s “Your World with Neil Cavuto” on the Fox News Channel, Jeniece Andrews, whose antiques shop was destroyed by rioters in Ferguson, MO said that rioting “is not part of protesting,” that rioters are simply hurting business owners who have are hurting themselves and that “I lost everything I had, that I worked for.” She also extended her condolences to the Gray family for the death of Freddie Gray.

“I would like to say to the people that are doing this rioting, it seems like a lot of these young people think they know what — that think that’s part of protesting. But that is not part of protesting. And basically what you are doing is you’re taking away the heartbeat of your community. You’re hurting these small businesses — that are there to nurture you and to help you and to make your life better. And you taking things that…is not going to bring justice to the situation. I think they should step back and let justice take its course. Let things be rebuilt and not do illegal things to shine a negative light on the black community. I think they should move forward in healing and peace with protests, if that’s what they choose to do, but not destroy other businesses and — hurt people who are hurting their ownself” she stated.

Andrews added, “I would like to say to all the mothers, please get your children off the street and know where your child is tonight. Please do that. And that’s what I did, even though I had to watch my business burn and I lost everything I had, that I worked for, we were not rich, we put our life savings into this building, and we lost everything and I still have to deal with that, yeah. The loss of my five and dime suddenly, and my business, and then the Mike Brown situation happened in my community. I had to grieve over that too, because I’m a mother of three young black men. Who — you always have to be concerned, and you pray to God ‘put a protection of cover on them that they make it home at night.’ So, my sympathy is out to that family and to that mother of that young man [Freddie Gray] that died there in Baltimore today, but I’m saying violence and rioting is not the answer. It’s not the answer for your community, it’s not the answer for the world. And we do not need hate now, and negativity has never brought about positive results.”

I'm pretty sure the BAL mayor said if they want a place to riot and destroy, then it's cool.

Police sat on their hands and let a relatively small crowd go unchecked for what, ten hours?   twelve hours?  I've seen my local police force shut down a crowd of 5,000 when the fireworks end.

Face it, police and mayor WANTED the rowdy rioters because it serves their political goals and gets them public sympathy.

Of course it doesn't really paint the best picture to the audience watching at home but I still say good old fashion water hoses, german shepards on leashes and stout police officers wielding batons is your best bet for making sure these protests do not escalate to the level we seen last night.

You assume the mayor and her cops are on the same page here.

Yes.   I watched the Wire, and the mayor bossed around the police commissioner, who bossed around the chief then the lieutenants.

I've never worked in the mayor's office, and I hardly cite The Wire as my only input on this.

I looked at WIKI, which told me the mayor's office administers all city services, public property, police and fire.

Doesn't necessarily mean they agree; her office oversees the department is all.

I don't think the gangs deny their violence; but the fact that for once in their lives they see what their community has become and is doing isn't good should be encouraging.  These gangs have spent their whole existence fighting local government and leaders but now they realize that they're not only willing to work with them but also their rivals.

Isn't this like blaming the criminal for dying in police custody?
