Floyd did not disrespect Ali by saying he's better. He has every right to feel that way. The same way Ali felt he was the greatest long before the rest of the boxing world agreed.

LOL@ floyd being smart, the guy barely knows how to read and can't do the most simple of tasks for himself as he always has someone doing stuff for him. He's anything but smart. Remember there was a time when Ali was hated far far worse than floyd was. Ali talked more shit than anyone in his prime, divided people politically, racially and religiously. He was way more of a braggard than Floyd.
I think the difference is though, is that Ali had real causes he fought for...you don't have to agree with them, but he didn't budge an inch on them and he fought for decades against all of the other greatest fighters of that era. Eventually Floyd will be humbled too,  people will forget about his personality traits and out of the ring bullshit and he will be talked about as one of the greatest ever too.
Sugar ray robinson used to use his wifes tits as a speedbag and would beat her so bad she had a miscarriage...No one remembers any of that now though either.

The people eventually warmed to Ali, him getting Parkinson's helped the public forgive any remaining grudges they had.  The public frown on hating on people who have serious health conditions or handicaps.
