Mayweather is the best runner of all time. His opponents that he supposedly dominates finish the fights without a scratch on them. Mayweather can't finish. He can't hurt people. Best defensive fighter of all time, he can argue that.

his skills arent all that good considering he was taught boxing since birth. he cant blend defence and offense like james toney can. he has one mode
at a time either attack or defend. all of his opponents he has ever faced arent very skilled there mostly mexicans and zab judah. floyd was lucky
zab is mentally weak because he was giving floyd hell till the 6th round and there are many fighter with better skill than zab who arent mentally weak and will chase mayweather down for the full 15 rounds. he cant compete with the top 30 fighters in lightweight or welterweight

This is footage from when, 1913-1926 at best? So based on some video from roughly 100 years ago you discount him? His record was 105 (48 KO) with 8 losses? He fought 45 times in one year for fucks sake. Mayweather won't fight anything but a woman unless the odds are totally in his favor.

The fact that Floyd retired to duck opponents automatically takes him out of the top. He wasn't beating those dudes at welterweight in the 80's.

It's difficult to talk about fighters as greater than others when there's so many different way's of looking at it. If you're talking about great in terms of pure skill and boxing ability, then floyd is one of the very greatest of all time. If you're talking about greatness in terms of long lasting careers against other dominant opposition, then floyd is certainly up there, but not in the same league as guys like duran, Robinson and Ali etc.

One of the best defensive wise, sure. To call him top 5 overall though, no way there was just too much talent before him. I guess it depends on the type of fight you like to see. If you're all for a basically boring primadonna fighter who carefully selects everything for his fights, sure he's an easy favorite.

Also, Greb had 32 newspaper decisions or roughly 10% of his nearly 300 fights. I know a lot of people say dudes like this fought a bunch of cans to get their numbers that high but you have to consider this; he was a pro for 13 years and fought almost 300 times. Floyd has been pro for 19 years and fought 48 times.

In the ring... Mayweather is like the Spurs of the NBA. Horrible to watch, boring and predictable, but works very efficiently within the rules and just keeps the opponent from scoring.

The 2nd fight would look just like the first fight. Sure, we'd all love to see Mayweather with a busted lip, but let's face it, at this age, these guys can't hit hard anymore. Floyd admitted his hands are weakened for fighting, and that's why he hasn't had a KO in 5 years now. The 2nd fight would look just like fight #1.
