Best tip you can thank me for later. If you want to bench heavy do a LOT of rotator cuff work aside from the benching and make sure you hit all four rotator cuffs not just 1 - 2

Not bad if natty.  At least you have age to blame, young twinks don't have any excuses.

And what is your one rep max? Just curious to see the correlation between reps with this and a guy's one rep max.

I can now do about 6-8 good reps with 275 and that's it in the gym for me now.
BUT, if you has me benching in the back of a new Ram, flatbed pickup trucks, I'd hit 10 reps  ;D

I agree its worthless for bbing. My chest is still shit but I noticed it was alot fuller  when I was only using  dumbells and hammer strength. Noticed more front delt growth with flat benching.

That is because the weight is too high up the body and u are using delts to lift the weight you dipshit

I think this is about right

275 for 5 reps- should be g2g for a 315 bench
275 for 10-15  reps - 350-400lb bench
275 for 20  - 400-450 lb bench

anyone benching 275 for over 25 reps should be able to hit 500

i can bench 275 about 10-12 times

i can get 315 about 8

i can get 365 once

Sounds on point and realistic, if a bit "rep" oriented.

With a dedicated effort to bench a greater 1 RM, I've little doubt a decent program could get you to a good stone's throw within 405 if not that (or maybe a bit more).  I have never benched 405 -- not even once!  But I did do 370 for a paused triple on my chest, and those were real pauses, not the "hey, let's let the weight dimple down into my chest cavity so I can use it like a launch pad to get more than I ordinarily would" reps :)  And at that time, I wasn't getting more than eight or MAYBE nine reps with 315.

Yes, it was raw, and no, it wasn't natty.  Tons of synthol use and gay porn atop that, for the guys who are into such things.  Just look up my handle if you want to see a great homo show :D~

;)

Lifting heavy is great when you're young, but you usually pay for it later on.  I did rotator cuff exercises for the past 15 years.  They def work, but after many years of heavy benching the labrum and rotator cuff attachments tend to wear down.  You're only as strong as your weakest link.

Heavy benching should never be performed if the shoulder(s) are weak, sore or already injured.  Older trainers need to be especially careful and thorough warm-ups are absolutely necessary.  One mistake and you are out of the game for a very long time, perhaps forever.

Oh please fuck off! U got 6600+ post and haven't learned yet!

It doesn't matter, no one fucking care.

Join a strength club if u want to lift heavy and become an ugly fatass!

Alot of people can be much stronger than they actually are, but the doesn't care about it, doesn't put effort on being strong, docent like the low intensity heavy shit 1 rep 10 minutes rest and then 1 rep...eat a lot of food and become fat, look like shit etc etc...

If u want a healthy nice looking body u need to do cardio and high intensity training with more reps and keep calories low...and thats not how u become strong.

Your muscles will not grow an inch no matter how heavy u train. Just make them muscles tired in some way or another and you get the muscles u get...
Obviously drugs play a roll, but you can not get to that size without achieving enormous strength. There isn't one guy on the O stage who cant bench in the mid to high 400's.

Generally that's true but I did know one state level HW who was 220is at 5'5" who literally struggled to bench 225 for reps

I could incline much more than a 280lb monster

Some dudes do have terrible CNS , but who cares if it means they can get bigger lifting less weight due to inefficiency? Much rather that than having to risk tearing muscles by needing to bench 405+ every session

I don't bench heavy that much anymore I just stick to around 185-225 since I don't bench only rarely nowadays. It made my pecs uneven so I switched over to dumbells. I used to max at like 315-325 when I was all bulked up on Tren when I was like 18 at 220lbs and a fat ass lol. Now I can do like 225x10 at 180-190lb on a calorie deficit after I didn't bench with a barbell for 6 months. Now if I bench with a barbell which is still rarely I'll use the smitch machine and do incline bench for 225-250 4 sets of 12,10,8,8 with a Dropset at the end
