we talked about this on getbig political board maybe a year back.  FOX abruptly cut his primetime slot right when everyone found out about his sexual orientation.  He wanted to 'come out'.

Shep came from my Ft Myers, FL market.

Many are giving FOX props for their tolerance.  Their viewers, like the general public, have become more liberal, more accepting, and more "mainstream" on many issues.   Conservatives are turning 60, 70, 80, and dying.  The 22 year old repubs in this country are often ENTIRELY different on gay marriage, abortion, and other issues than their 75 year old gradparents.

Some people have no gaydar. 

I had a coworker friend once who clearly was.  While on a business trip, he "came out of the closet" to me in confidence. He was all serious and I tried to be sensitive to what he was saying, but he did not hide it as well as he thought he did.  He thought because he had a picture of his son on his desk, no one could tell.  8)

I have a friend, 29, never has had a gf. Decent looking guy, but makes bullshit stories about how it just doesn't last. Very sensitive person. But very openly hates homosexuals. I have a feeling it's the same situation.
