Ever since the Tuck rule there's been a general lack of respect for Brady.

Yeah, that didn't help.

my hate for brady goes back to his early years, pummeling my Dolphins each year.   I've since grown to watch bucs a little more, but stll hate the entire AFC except Miami.

He is caught covering up here, it can no longer be argued.  The new argument has become "there's nothing wrong with deflating balls and lying about it to investigators''.  that's where we are now.

Sean Hannity devoted the first half hour of his show to it until I couldn't take anymore lol.  FOX news all over it lol.  Hannity said cheating is part of the game and a coverup is totally cool, no suspension.  Repub values?  :(

NFL announces punishment !
Brady must spend off season with adoring supermodel wife on the beaches of Brazil! He will also have to pay a fine of 10k so his 320m net worth will be hit hard!

 Oh the horror!

What's confusing about both DefalteGate & SpyGate (38-14 Week 1 win at Jets in 2007) is that in both games, the Patriots were by far the better team and would have won both games without bending the rules. They didn't need to resort to these measures and take the chance on getting caught...not once, but twice.

I must admit, having money does help to lessen the blow of being known as a cheating fraud for the rest of your life.

Or the Brown's GM using his cell phone to communicate with the coaches on the sidelines. Most of the Patriots hate stems from how good they are every year.

You can't honestly believe that. Brady is one of the NFL's golden boys. He won't get more games then guys who beat the fuck out of women, or pay bounties to injure other players.

Sean Payton was their golden boy at one time.  They had no prob blaming him for bountygate.

Peterson was an all NFL badass... they booted him for a year for whipping his kid.

Rapelisberger was never charged, but accused by drunk chicks - lost 4 games i think.

Brady cheated & covered up a deflated ball in a championship game.  Lied to NFL's face about it.

Maybe they give him a year and let him appeal it down to 6 games... but really, people will just keep cheating if Brady can do it and get a handful of games or no suspension.  Think about what he did.  And the way the Pats fumble #s are so far below everyone else, those in the know probably believe it's been going on for years.  Their 4 title would probably be 1 or 2 titles without having an easier ball than everyone else.

I think a year would cause people to respect the NFL, and I think they're desperate for respect/credibility.  I think he gets a year.  he's a liar and a cheat and a high profile one at that.  They dont name him as guilty if they dont play on punishing him.  HUGE double standard if people lose games (like that one idiot) after being CLEARED of spousal abuse - and he's busted ruining integrity of game red handed.  Didn't brady even RUN OVER TO COLLECT THE INTERCEPTED BALL so the Colts wouldn't discover it was flat?   lol  HE KNEW.

That is a HUGE advantage.

Plus it's easier for the receiver to catch.

Colin Cowherd said today that the catching part doesn't matter because it's also easier to intercept with a deflated football. Oh brother.  ::)

Mark it down Rob, I guarantee that Tom Brady will not get suspended for a year. I will be absolutely shocked if it is more than 4 games.

He probably will get 2-4 games.  I will be pleasantly surprised if he does not get suspended at all, considering the "more probable than not" bullshit  ::)

yeah colin doesn't buy into the receivers having an advantage, but he is a HUGE voice for the "how the fck the Pats have so few fumbles?"

He's been on that train for months now.  Marginal players come to NE and never fumble, even in the snow.  Colin talks about that a lot.
I think Colin trolls a lot.  He will say things like "I don't see why everyone accuses leBron of HGH" when nobody is accusing LeBron, just to get that debate going so people will realize it.

There are probably other ways the balls being a little flat helps.  Very easy for Gronk to make those 1 handed fingertip grabs in pouring rain and snow.  Very easy for Blount to run into 5 defenders in a rainstorm and keep ball tucked in.  And brady himself, in 2011, admitted a flat ball is way easier to throw.

Those little advantages add up... Instead of heading into halftime 13-10, the pats are up 21-3 thanks to insane ball control in poor elements.  Then the other team has to throw every time while getting tired, and pats can run way more to run them down and eat clock.  The Pats have awesome leads early, and just pound out fumble-free running.  Smart.

The report wasn't even conclusive yet you think he should be suspended for a year? I know no matter what I write you will delve into a diatribe over what a "liar and cheat" he is yet he still went on to blow out the Colts in the second half convincingly and win the Super Bowl. Your hatred for the guy is so obvious you can't even discuss this rationally.

Just curious who your favorite team is because you sound like a Jets fan.

The Patriots fumbled 24 times as a team in 2013. That was 9th worst in the league that year.

I'm sure Belichick made that a priority in the offseason that year, especially since fumbling too much was what put Ridley into the doghouse.

In 2014, the Patriots finished the season with only 13 fumbles. That wasn't the best in the league though.

The Vikings only had 11. I wonder how they cheated to fumble so little?  ::)

I'll always remember the uncomfortable Brady presser. Bill threw him under the bus the day before and Tom comes in and instead of saying nothing he acts like a moron and says all the wrong answers.

Bottom line the league botched this whole issue, there's no doubt this type of nonsense always happens, it always does in competitive environments, but the NFL let it happen and left the topic blowing in the wind like a flag during a tornado.  Goodell is looking like a buffoon.

Suspend Brady and have the public convinced the Patriots are doing unscrupulous activities (I'm sure all teams do, however the Pats have been the most blatant) and the Super Bowl wins are tainted.  Or address the issue before hand, specifically warn them you're looking into it, and the problem disappears. Dofus.

Poor ball boys and trainer are the ones who will suffer the most, Brady could have fallen on his sword, protected the two team employees and not had an investigation but instead he tried to cover it up and makes it look like it is a big deal because he knew it was wrong.

I'd like to see David Tyree get his hands on a deflated ball.

He is also forgetting that the Patriots have a defense, and that other teams have an equal opportunity to score.

I just disproved his fumble theories a few posts back. The Patriots were in the top ten for most fumbles in 2013, and they did not lead the league in fewest fumbles in 2014.

Pats fans have been wrong from the get go.   The day before the hosts were mocking the release of the report, saying everyone is going to owe Brady and apology once it gets released.  Ooops.

Even a one game suspension says that the NFL found Brady guilty of cheating in an AFC championship game.  Add some more tarnish to the legacy.

Those are New York papers. They couldn't possibly be biased.
