Jets tamper with Revis and get a slap on the hand. Pats should have gotten a draft pick from the Jets. They didn't because the Jets suck so bad the league knows the Jets can't take it. That's how bad this league is. Only a few elite teams who are so much better than the others. Half the teams have owners who could care less if they win. Every week we could see a few elite teams put up 60, 70 maybe even 100 points on another team. We don't because teams would be shunned for doing so and the brand would suffer. League wants the illusion of Parody...The whole thing is make believe...The NFL is more like College if it were played straight up...Refs call certain things to help keep the games closer. Idiots like Jerry Rice coming out calling the Pats cheaters. Stfu Rice you cheating son of a bitch. Montana use to give Rice a bottle of stick-em every time Rice would drop a ball as a joke. But Montana knew Rice was cheating and in essence helping him cheat...

Aaron Rodgers has also admitted to cheating. He over-inflates the footballs. I wonder if the league will suspend him now?

If the NFL wanted a fight with Tom Brady, they’re going to get one. And history indicates it’s not going to turn out real well for the league.

A day after being suspended four games for his role in Deflategate, the Patriots quarterback has hired 61-year-old Jeffrey Kessler as his lawyer for this Deflategate, as reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter. He has represented the players associations of the NFL and NBA in countless arbitrations involving player free agency rights, collusion claims, and salary caps.

Why should the NFL, which also fined the Patriots $1 million and docked the team two draft picks, be concerned?

Kessler is arguably the most successful lawyer in history representing clients who take on established sports leagues. Namely:

In Brady v. NFL, he successfully represented a class of NFL players in an antitrust action which eventually led to the end of the 2011 NFL lockout.

In Belichick v. NFL, et al., he represented Belichick in litigation over changing teams.

In NFLPA v. NFL, he represented NFLPA in a successful challenge to provisions of NFL TV Contracts used to fund the NFL 2011 Lockout.

In McNeil, et al. v. NFL, et al., he won jury verdict for NFL players striking down free agency restrictions under the antitrust laws, eventually leading to the Reggie White class action. That case paved the way for the negotiation of free agency and the salary cap system in the NFL.

In North American Soccer League, et al. v. NFL, he successfully represented North American Soccer League in antitrust case striking down NFL ownership rules.

Most recently, he represented Adrian Peterson and forced the league to reinstate the running back. Safe to say, the NFL didn’t envision this when they started asking about PSIs of footballs in January.

I honestly think Goodell is in over his head.

I initially thought he was good for the league but he has made every issue a public nightmare. There is nothing new, as far as crimes go (on or off the field) over the last 50 years, but these goofs can't seem to keep this stuff off the front pages. Every issue shouldn't be a headline grabbing topic.

He may have gotten the owners some new revenue streams, but what sports league isn't making money hand over fist. Because of his lack of awareness we are watching a money train derail in slow motion.

Then they cheated again, lied about it, and didn't offer full compliance.

Jets have been nailed for tempering more than once and only got a slap on the wrist for tempering with Revis. By your standard, the Jets should have really been hit hard. Atlanta has been pumping crowd noise into their stadium for many years. Where told many times to stop. They didn't listen. Yet they were given a slap on the hand. They get a slap on the hand because their teams suck. Many believe Seattle pumps/pumped crowd noise into their stadium. If the league nailed them on it tomorrow, I'd bet the house they would lose draft picks because Seattle is elite. NFL wants Parody anyway they can get it. They crushed the Saints with Bounty-gate because the Saints were considered an elite system. More than half the teams were doing some kind of bounty system on players...

You underestimate how serious the league took Spygate. And they warned them in advance. If they hit them with a 500k fine and took draft picks before, how would they lessen the penalty for a second offense, and one in which they lied and didn't comply?

If the Pats would have said "we're sorry for our actions and will never let it happen again", this would be done, and the penalties minimum.

The NFL isn't doing this for "parity" (parody as you call it). The Pats have won once in last 10 years, so why would the league attack them? Only the Giants and Steelers have repeated in the last decade. Lay out the business case, because I'm guessing the Pats on the road are a pretty big draw.

) In the last 20 years(1995-2015) The Patriots have been in 7 Super Bowls(35%)...Hell in the last 30 years they've been in 8 Super Bowls. (over 1/4 of all Super Bowls played in the last 3 decades have featured the Patriots. Win or lose) For reference on the Pats greatness, since 1995, beginning of the Yankee's Jeter era, the Patriots have won (7) conference championships. The same as the Yankee's AL pennants(7)...That's mind boggling...The league absolutely hates that...As does the average fan outside of New England...I do agree with you that if the Pats or Brady said something like " ya it looks like my ball boys took it a little too far and it will never happen again". It would be a non story other than Brady throwing his boys under the bus...

we have to wonder how many other little cheats that NE has gotten away with over the years. Add them up, that's a lot of close games going their way. Being 12-4 versus 9-7, and home field, is only a few little cheats.

The league doesn't hate it at all, unless you can prove that it costs them $. And if you believe that they would do this to prevent it, the whole things a sham, so why would you care about the titles anyway then, legit or not?

It's been proven that the Yankees winning was great for baseball. Why is it different if NE wins division/AFC championship and a SB every ten years?
